Dorset County Museum
A Writers' Dorset
Judith researched, curated and wrote the script for the prize-winning gallery A Writers' Dorset, which interprets the lives, works and collections of Thomas Hardy and other Dorset authors. Working with designers Bremner and Orr, she created a gallery which engages children and those with no knowledge of Hardy's works as well as the real devotees. The gallery won best social history museum in the Museum of the Year awards, 1998 ('attention to detail is remarkable and the displays will appeal to both children and adults') and a Visit Britain award in the same year.
